What Volunteers Do
Volunteers ages 12 and up provide important interactions with campers as they demonstrate love, respect and acceptance. They are visible demonstration of God’s love to the campers and their families who will participate during camps at West Texas Camps and Retreats. They will travel with our campers and their families to and from activities. Our volunteers will share friendship, love, and respect for each camper and their families.

Spiritual Growth
Being a Christian camp for children with special needs, our focus is not on intensive lecture style teaching. Each night we have a joyful time of worship and a Bible study for volunteers. Here they can debrief with their cabins and have a time to get to know each other better and be vulnerable. Volunteers also experience Christ as they love and serve their camper buddy.
Volunteer Mission/Service Opportunities for Groups and Individuals
West Texas Camps and Retreats will provide a unique volunteer opportunity for Church Mission Trips for youth and adults, civic organizations looking for service projects, and individuals needing service hours for school, work, or organizations. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please let us know!
