Life at Camp
A Week at Camp
West Texas Camps & Retreats exists to give every child the camp experience they deserve. Our 2026 sessions welcome campers ages 11-14 on the autism spectrum or with visual impairments for a week of adventure, friendship, and faith at Circle Six Baptist Camp in Lenora, TX — where the wide open West Texas sky sets the perfect backdrop for a week campers will never forget.
camper age & ability
Our 2026 sessions are just the beginning.
As West Texas Camps & Retreats grows, we look forward to expanding our programs to serve campers ages 7 and up — including teens and adults — and welcoming a broader range of special needs into our camp family.
We are actively working to bring camp experiences to multiple sites across the West Texas region, making it easier for families throughout the area to access the programs their children deserve.

programs & Activities
Every program and activity is thoughtfully adapted so that each camper can fully participate, regardless of ability.
From archery, swimming, and the zipline to crafts, karaoke, and messy games, the week is packed with laughter, discovery, and memories that last long after campers head home.
Daily devotions and worship are woven throughout the week, where every camper will experience the truth that they are known, loved, and wonderfully made by God.
Volunteer Buddies
Every camper is paired one-on-one with a trained volunteer buddy who walks alongside them for the entire week.
Buddies are volunteers ages 16 and up who are trained specifically to support campers with special needs — but more than just a helper, a buddy is a friend.
Someone who provides support, celebrates wins, and shows each camper genuine love and acceptance every single day of camp.
Families
Family camp is on the horizon, and we could not be more excited about what is ahead. As West Texas Camps & Retreats grows, our vision includes dedicated family camp sessions where parents, caregivers, and siblings can experience camp together — finding encouragement, building community, and growing in faith side by side. Activities will be designed to challenge and engage every family member at their own level, ensuring that siblings of all abilities have a meaningful experience of their own. Parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to connect with others who understand their journey — the triumphs, the challenges, and everything in between. Family camp is coming, and it will be worth the wait.
